Ah the NFL season. A perfect time to get those Doritos, hot wings, and ice cold beers out for another glorious year. A lot of you are probably getting ready to watch the game right now as you salivate for the curtain to drop on another season. There’s nothing quite like the NFL and as a football fan I’m excited for the action to start soon. It couldn’t have come at a better time. With that in mind let’s preview week 1’s match ups for the 2012 season. Let’s start with tonight’s for now since the rest don’t start until Sunday.
Cowboys versus Giants
Dallas comes in with an elite quarterback in Tony Romo as well as a variety of offensive weapons. Helping him is sophomore running back Demarco Murray as well as receivers Miles Austin and Dez Bryant, and the always reliable Jason Witten at tight end. Opposing him is quarterback Eli Manning, off of his second super bowl win, receivers Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz, as well as a killer D that has an excellent pass rush. Adding to the storyline is the usual expectations in Dallas that come with being the Cowboys. Jerry Jones won’t be happy if his team misses out on the playoffs for a 3rd straight season, so Romo really needs to step up this season. With that being said the Super Bowl champion has won every night ever since the kickoff game became a thing in 2004. Look for this game to be a shootout, especially with Eli. I honestly don’t have faith in Tony Romo during big games, and I don’t expect that to change either. Eli is going to make one more play than Romo and that’s going to be the difference. Sorry!
My Pick: Giants
My record: 0-0 (NFL)
Let’s see how this goes.
HOHOHO!

The Giants couldn't keep anyone off of Manning and Bradshaw. Hard to do anything if your running game gets stuffed.
Also Ogletree came out of nowhere too
