For those of you who have been following our Divisional Power Rankings, we are going to introduce another part of these power rankings; and that is power rankings for individual divisions. Now that is a lot of work, and since it is a lot of work these are going to be done once a month.
Going forward with these power rankings it is important for you to understand a couple of things; it’s the same style as the regular divisional power rankings-we will be judging these teams based off of three different sabermetric stats (wOBA, K/BB, and UZR). Now instead of six points to the first place team in each category; the first place team gets five points, 2nd get 4, 3rd gets 3, etc…So let’s start with the AL West.

If only the rest of the division was actually average at defense, then the M’s would actually be where they are supposed to. Other than the M’s, there isn’t much surprise to these rankings.
