Hello everyone and welcome to Week 7 of my NFL picks. I went 9-7 last week and have a 53-39 overall record. Let’s keep this gravy train rolling. Let’s start with Seattle at Arizona.
Seahawks at Cardinals
(5-1-0)
—

(3-3-0)
—
This will be a close physical battle but I expect for the Seahawks to ultimately prevail. They have just too many weapons for the Cardinals to handle.
My Pick: Seahawks
Buccaneers at Falcons
(0-5-0)
—

(1-4-0)
—
I had both of these penciled in as playoff teams. I guess it’s time to re-evaluate that statement. Anyways Tampa Bay should cover the spread, but I think that Atlanta wins at home and gets their season back on track.
My Pick: Falcons
Bears at Redskins
(4-2-0)
—

(1-4-0)
—
The shutdown is over in Washington but not for their football team. RGIII has been struggling and Cutler has the hot hand so…
My Pick: Bears
Cowboys at Eagles
(3-3-0)
—

(3-3-0)
—
Chip Kelly has the Eagles off to a great start but I don’t think that they can contain Dallas’s offense. As weird as it sounds, I’m picking them to win this game and take control of a weak NFC East.
My Pick: Cowboys
Patriots at Jets
(5-1-0)
—

(3-3-0)
—
The Jets may be 3-3, but I’m 0-6 this season when predicting how they’ll do. I think I’ll be 1-6 after Sunday.
My Pick: Patriots
Bills at Dolphins
(2-4-0)
—

(3-2-0)
—
Buffalo will cover the spread but Miami wins this game. Ultimately because coming off of a bye week they won’t be rusty and they will be too much for the Bills to handle.
My Pick: Dolphins
Chargers at Jaguars
(3-3-0)
—

(0-6-0)
—
I think Jacksonville will get at least one win this year, but not this week.
My Pick: Chargers
Rams at Panthers
(3-3-0)
—

(2-3-0)
—
Carolina may have laid an egg against Arizona before their bye week, but I say that they bounce back against St. Louis. Cam Newton is starting that second-half surge, and that win against Minnesota might be indicative of things to come.
My Pick: Panthers
Bengals at Lions
(4-2-0)
—

(4-2-0)
—
Detroit may be favored in this game, but there are still questions about Wide Receiver Calvin Johnson’s health. That could prove the difference in this one.
My Pick: Bengals
49ers at Titans
(4-2-0)
—

(3-3-0)
—
San Francisco may have found its rhythm by rattling off three straight wins. Expect it to be four this week after a visit to Nashville.
My Pick: 49ers
Texans at Chiefs
(2-4-0)
—

(6-0-0)
—
I will deny conventional wisdom on this one.
I will pick the Texans against the undefeated Chiefs. Partially because Kansas City hasn’t really played a strong opponent this season, and also since Houston has a lot of talent on their roster despite their quarterback problems. I think this may be when Houston starts to bounce back.
My Pick: Texans
Ravens at Steelers
(3-3-0)
—

(1-4-0)
—
Despite a strong win against the Jets I don’t see Pittsburgh giving the defending champion Ravens a hard time this week. I’m not doubting this team, I’m just reminding them that they’re 1-4.
My Pick: Ravens
Browns at Packers
(3-3-0)
—

(3-2-0)
—
If it was at Cleveland the Browns might have a chance, but it’s in Green Bay. I expect for the Browns to cover the point spread, but Aaron Rodgers will find a way to win this game. Still not a bad start for Cleveland.
My Pick: Packers
Broncos at Colts
(6-0-0)
—

(4-2-0)
—
As good as Andrew Luck has been it will be very hard for them to defeat a very motivated Broncos team at home. Peyton Manning still holds a grudge against being released in 2011, and when Peyton holds a grudge there’s no way you can win. Just ask Baltimore in Week 1.
My Pick: Broncos
Vikings at Giants
(1-4-0)
