Week 11 NFL Picks

Well I’m back.  I stopped what could have been a monumental catastrophe with one of my best friends over the weekend, but that’s a story for another time.  Anyways let’s start by predicting an AFC South slugfest.

Colts at Titans

(6-3-0)

Colts

(4-5-0)

Titans

Even though the Colts did struggle against the Rams last week I’m sure Andrew Luck will turn things around.  Sunday was just a bad day at the office and this team is definitely good enough to shake it off.

My Pick:  Colts

Jets at Bills

(5-4-0)

Jets

(3-7-0)

Bills

The Jets are definitely a difficult team to figure out.  One week they get blown out by Cincinnati, another they upset New Orleans.  This team is holding onto the last AFC Wild-Card spot for dear life…but this is the Bills they’re facing.

My Pick:  Jets

Let’s hear it for the Jets getting back to back wins for the first time this season.

Falcons at Buccaneers

(2-7-0)

Falcons

(1-8-0)

Buccaneers

As disappointing as the Falcons have been this year, the Bucs have been far worse.  Let’s just leave it at that.

My Pick:  Falcons

Lions at Steelers

(6-3-0)

Lions

(3-6-0)

Steelers

The Lions actually lead the NFC North this late in the season.  I never thought those words would be written in a complete sentence.  The Steelers have looked better after their 0-4 start, but the Lions are the hot hand right now, and this should be another easy win for them.

My Pick:  Lions

Redskins at Eagles

(3-6-0)

Redskins

(5-5-0)

Eagles

Nick Foles has looked great these past two weeks.  Expect him to extend it to three against the Skins.

My Pick:  Eagles

Cardinals at Jaguars

(5-4-0)

Cardinals

(1-8-0)

Jaguars

As terrible as the Cardinals are, it’s still the Jaguars.

My Pick:  Cardinals

Hey I got their first win right!

Raiders at Texans

(3-6-0)

Raiders

(2-7-0)

Texans

It is now or never for Houston.  They need to win now or it’s over (as if it wasn’t already).  They will get the win, but their season might just be done.

My Pick:  Texans

Ravens at Bears

(4-5-0)

Ravens

(5-4-0)

Bears

Baltimore got a good win over division leader Cincinnati, but Chicago is more consistent than these Ravens have shown themselves to be.  Expect the Bears to make a grab at that last wild-card spot in the NFC and hang onto it.

My Pick:  Bears

Browns at Bengals

(4-5-0)

Browns

(6-4-0)

Bengals

This could be a potential upset but I don’t see the Bengals losing three games in a row.  They’ll definitely have their guard up, and they won’t let the Browns steal another victory from them.

My Pick:  Bengals

Chargers at Dolphins

(4-5-0)

Chargers

(4-5-0)

Dolphins

With all the turmoil surrounding the Dolphins how can you take this team seriously?!  It’s hard to believe they started the season 3-0.  Oh how the mighty have fallen.

My Pick:  Chargers

Packers at Giants

(5-4-0)

Packers

(3-6-0)

Giants

Packers backup (and former Seahawk) Seneca Wallace was injured during last weeks loss to Philadelphia.  At the rate Green Bay is going at they may need to put the water boy in.

My Pick:  Giants

Vikings at Seahawks

(2-7-0)

Vikings

(9-1-0)

Seahawks

The Seahawks should have no trouble starting 10-1 considering the wallop they put on Atlanta last week.  Now if only both teams could lose this next game.

My Pick:  Seahawks

49ers at Saints

(6-3-0)

49ers

(7-2-0)

Saints

I will be cheering for the 49ers (regretfully) this week if the Seahawks win (which they probably will).  The Saints are great and they’re tough to beat at home, but San Francisco has given them a hard time lately.  I say the trend continues.

My Pick:  49ers

It works out either way who wins or loses 🙂

Chiefs at Broncos

(9-0-0)

Chiefs

(8-1-0)

Broncos

I will go against conventional wisdom and do something a little different.

I will pick against Denver for the first time this season.

Kansas City can win games without going into a shootout, and while they may not have the firepower to keep up with Denver, they do have the defense and the skill players to match them.

I may be wrong but so be it.

My Pick:  Chiefs

Patriots at Panthers

(7-2-0)

Patriots

(6-3-0)

Panthers

As impressive as New England has looked this season I will have to go the other way on this one.  Carolina has been looking great this season, and I think they can challenge the Saints for the division.  They win this one, but barely.

My Pick:  Panthers

My Record: 86-61

The Rams and Cowboys have byes this week.

Stay classy everyone!

HOHOHO!
