Dear Michigan State,

When you take the field at Lucas Oil Stadium, you’ll have the hopes of college football nation on your shoulders. You’re opponent has is currently sitting at No. 4, and they’ve yet to lose a game; as a result, your opponent has control of its playoff destiny.

It’s your job to bring Iowa’s playoff bid to an end and end our long national nightmare.

This is a situation that is unfamiliar to college football fans around the country, especially those in (and around) Iowa City. No one expected the Hawkeyes to be this good this season and it has been surprising to see them roll through the opponents in a totally machine like fashion throughout the season.

Big Ten Championship Game

There’s been absolutely no chill from the Spartans as they’ve controlled the ball, forced turnovers, and smothered opposing passing attacks. It’s been an incredibly boring style of football to watch, especially for this Pac-12 fan, but it’s been extremely effective as it’s gotten Iowa to a 12-0 record.

I tell you all of this so you understand what you’re facing when you take the field at 5:30 pm PT. And that you’ll understand that college football nation has watched Iowa’s season unfold with concern.

It’s made college football fans around the country reevaluate their values when it comes to the sport. Especially in the ESSSSSS-EEEEEEE-CCCCCCCC

Please Michigan State, end our long national nightmare and knock Iowa out of the national championship picture. It’s the only thing that can save us from more heartbreak like above in the video.
