Falcons/Buccaneers Preview

Hello and welcome to another exciting week in NFL football.  It’s time to preview a NFC South matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

5:25 PM PT NFL ATL -4.0

Falcons

(5-3, 3-1 away)

5-3

Buccaneers

(3-4, 0-3 Home)

How Atlanta Wins:  Matt Ryan continues to throw the ball up to Julio Jones.  There’s a reason he leads the NFL in passing yards.  Continue to trust in your receivers, and don’t hesitate to run the ball with Devonta Freeman as well to take some of the load off of the passing game.

How Tampa Bay Wins:  It’ll be difficult with both Jacquizz Rodgers and Doug Martin out.  That means Jameis Winston will need to win this game on his own.  I have some questions about their field goal kicker Roberto Aguayo since he has missed some easy kicks this season.  As long as Winston doesn’t make mistakes he should give Tampa Bay a fighting chance.

The Bottom Line:  The Bucs feel like a fragmented team.  They may have been able to pull off the upset in Week 1, but the Falcons are a completely different team especially after their upset win over Green Bay last week.  That’s why I’m picking the Falcons to win and for Matt Ryan to continue to build a strong case for himself as MVP.

Here’s the rest of the Week 9 action.  The Bears, Bengals, Patriots, Redskins, Texans, and Cardinals all have byes this week.

Packers over Colts

Saints over 49ers

Chiefs over Jaguars

Jets over Dolphins

Chargers over Titans

Panthers over Rams

Lions over Vikings

Eagles over Giants

Cowboys over Browns

Steelers over Ravens

This makes me 70-48-2 on the year.  Not bad for the first 8 weeks, let’s keep it up.
