NFL Thanksgiving Preview

Welcome to another exciting week of NFL football.  I will be doing things a little differently this week, introducing a Watchability Index for all three of the games tomorrow.  Let’s start with the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions.

9:30 AM PT CBS DET -1.0

Vikings

(6-4, 2-3 away)

6-4

Lions

(6-4, 4-1 Home)

Watchability Index Score:  7.5/10

This without a doubt would have been a much better game if the Vikings hadn’t of struggled over the past few weeks.  With the NFC North in chaos it’s great to see the division come down to these two teams instead of the normal Packers and Bears matchups like we’ve seen in years past.  Detroit has been clutch all season, trailing every game in the 4th quarter and still coming in ahead.  I will take Matthew Stafford over Sam Bradford any day of the week.

Lions win

1:30 PM PT FOX DAL -7.0

Redskins

(6-3-1, 2-1-1 away)

6-3-1

Cowboys

(9-1, 4-1 Home)

Watchability Index Score:  9.25/10

This is as clutch as it gets.  If you can watch only one game tomorrow, catch this one.  This very well could be a playoff preview especially with the way the Redskins and Cowboys have played this year.  Kirk Cousins got off of a very impressive dismantling of Green Bay, while Dak Prescott and the Cowboys have won a franchise record nine straight games.  It’s safe to say Tony Romo has lost his starting spot.  Cowboys win off of Dak’s impressive play and Ezekiel Elliot finding more than a few holes in the Redskins defense.

Cowboys Win

5:30 PM PT NBC PIT -9.0

Steelers

(5-5, 2-3 away)

5-5

Colts

(5-5, 3-2 Home)

Watchability Index Score: 4.5/10

Let’s be real, with Andrew Luck out we already know how this game is going to go.  Scott Tolzien is not going to match Ben Roethlisberger throw for throw, and 104 year old Frank Gore can only do so much at running back.  The only way the Colts win this game is if the Steelers get on the wrong flight to Indy, or their entire offense gets into a head-on car crash with a drunk Johnny Manziel.

Steelers Win

Here is the rest of Week 12, minus the Chiefs/Broncos (Sunday Night) and Packers/Eagles (Monday Night) previews.

Seahawks over Buccaneers

Patriots over Jets

Dolphins over 49ers

Falcons over Cardinals

Saints over Rams

Titans over Bears

Ravens over Bengals

Giants over Browns

Texans over Chargers

Raiders over Panthers

Bills over Jaguars

I’m 96-63-2 on the year.  Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
