WSU has two nationally ranked offensive tackles

Washington State tackles Cole Madison and Andre Dillard are two of the top three offensive tackles in the country, according to Pro Football Focus: College Football.

Seeing Cole Madison ranked on this list isn’t, he’s widely considered to be one of the team’s top NFL prospects this season, it’s a little surprising to see Andre Dillard on this list; and that’s mostly because Dillard has received nearly as much attention as Madison.

It’ll be interesting to see how Dillard and Madison hold up this season as the Cougs are replacing their center and one of their guards. That’s going to increase the pressure on the two tackles to keep the edges of the pocket clean and to buy quarterback Luke Falk time to work his way through his reads

While it’s unclear how these grades are worked out, it’s pretty cool to see two Cougs ranked nationally at their positions. This is a major improvement from the previous head coaching regime, where the offensive line was undersized and couldn’t keep up with the rest of the conference.
