Notre Dame finally won a national champion with a thrilling 61-58 victory over Mississippi State on Sunday afternoon. The game winner came as time expired.

It was the guard’s third three point attempt of the game, and the only one she made…but she made the one three pointer the Irish really needed.
Ogunbowale’s game winner came after Jackie Young had tied the game up with roughly 46 seconds left on the clock.

Notre Dame has been trailing by five points with less than 90 seconds left and came back to break the Bulldogs heart and capture the program’s first national title in 17 years.
