The BS Show: Don’t worry, we’re mostly talking football now

With the Mariners season all but dead, we decided to switch things up a bit and talk some FOOBAW to start the show instead. Brett didn’t watch the Seahawks game, thanks to driving home from Pullman, but Shane did, and he has strong opinions. Despite not watching, Brett has not-as-strong opinions, too. We’re wishy-washy about whether it was not as bad as it looked, or exactly as bad as it looked. We can help you struggle to be decisive, too!

Brett also didn’t watch the UW game, but Shane did. They Huskies won comfortably, but there are lots of questions to be answered after putting up just 17 points at half against a bad North Dakota team, but there were plenty of positives as well. Brett is annoyed at the positives, as you might expect. We look ahead to Utah, and what could be a season-defining game for the Huskies.

The Cougars had a similarly whelming win, defeating San Jose State 31-0 in WSU’s home opener. Brett attended this game, so he’s got some from-the-field level reporting. After that performance, can WSU be expected to beat an Eastern Washington team ranked 5th in the FCS, with the no. 1 total offense by yards? Definitely maybe. We actually have different opinions on how this one will go, and you may be surprised to hear who thinks what.

The Mariners are still playing, but at this point, that doesn’t really matter. We talk about how sad we are, and Shane tries to stump Brett with trivia, mostly successfully.

The weekend will be very different for our true heroes–Shane’s taking a trip to Chicago to see the Seahawks take on the Bears on Monday Night Football, while Brett will mostly be playing the new Spider-Man game. Very different and equally fun–seriously, you’ve gotta play this new Spider-Man game, you fools.
