The BS Show: Red Dead Redemption 2, and also some sports we guess

We’re back, late this week because Brett is an idiot and forgot it was recording day after his softball practice. All hate mail may be directed to him at brettmillerse@gmail.com. It will probably go ignored like most of his emails.

The show starts off with about five minutes of talk about Red Dead Redemption 2. Sorry everyone, that game is awesome and we have to talk about it. Them’s the rules.

Since we last spoke, the Mariners have actually played baseball games! We discuss what we’ve seen, focusing mostly on Monday’s action against the Reds where Yusei Kikuchi made Joey Votto look like a gosh-darned fool, and Domingo Santana hit a homer that looked like a can of corn off the bat. We also spend some time discussing Shed Long’s impressive start to Spring Training.

Felix looked bad, what should we expect from him this year? And if Kyle Lewis is healthy, is he truly a top prospect again? We discuss that as well.

Manny Machado signed with the Padres! We give our opinion on whether it was a good deal for the player, club, or both. Bryce Harper looks closer to signing, too, and we talk about what he’s worth and who he might end up with.

In other baseball news, we discuss Clayton Kershaw’s latest injury and Aaron Hicks’ extension with the Yankees.

We hop over to basketball momentarily to talk about the red-hot UW basketball team, and the not-so-red-hot WSU basketball team. In particular, we give some love to Matisse Thybulle, who is having a fantastic season.

We don’t want to talk too much about it but Robert Kraft was in the news in connection with a prostitution ring, so we give our two cents, but not a cent more.

Finally, Shane asks Brett what his favorite in-person baseball memory is, and we both have some fun answers.

Finally, we give out our Gardner Minshew II Swelmet Winner of the Week awards, discuss the next week coming up, and Brett shares some personal news. Give us a listen to find out what it is!
