Fresh off a Selction Sunday that saw his program earn its first post season tournament bid since 2012, Washington State men’s basketball head coach Kyle Smith stopped by to preview the Cougars first round matchup in the NIT.
Smith had said in his midday press conference that he felt pretty confident that freshmen Mouhamed Gueye would play on Tuesday against Santa Clara. During our interview he felt even more confident that we’d be seeing Gueye against the Broncos. That’s huge news, especially considering the matchups challenges that SCU presents for Washington State.
Take a listen to the podcast to hear Coach Smith’s thoughts on Santa Clara, and me tooting my own horn for a bit.
