Podcast: The Uvalde shooting and Nick Saban’s NIL meltdown

Here we are, two days after another kid with an AR15 broke into a school to shoot and kill kids. This time it was an 18 year old high school student who broke into an elementary school and killed 19 fourth graders along with two teachers.

Continuing on is not an option, going on as normal is not an option. Victor and I decided to use our platform to say something. And that’s what the first portion of this podcast is about. There isn’t any hot takes, and our intro will be silent. We talk about how unacceptable this is and how we have to do something to make it harder to get the gun violence problem under control.

Typically we don’t like to bring non-sports related politics or news into this podcast (or this blog); but we could not remain silent on the subject. Nick Saban’s meltdown over the NIL last week; the slumping Seattle Mariners; and the Storm make their regular appearance — we also even brought back boxing! — for your sports content.
