Washington State women’s basketball lost a heart breaking game to the Oregon Ducks on Friday night. The Cougars got the ball into the hands of play maker Lia Galdeira at the end, but the shot didn’t fall.
Washington State shot lights out from the field, and beat the Oregon Ducks 108-99 on Thursday night. Sophomore forward Josh Hawkinson led WSU with 26 points.
The Washington State soccer team is tied with Oregon at the half. Neither team has been able to capitalize on offensive opportunities, and its a scoreless match.
The Washington State Cougars should have upended No. 2 Oregon in its conference opener. Connor Halliday picked apart the Ducks’ defense, and the Cougar defense picked apart Oregon’s offensive line. But the Cougars couldn’t pull out the win.
